The handle for the QuickTalker Freestyle (10.2" version) can be replaced using the following steps;
QuickTalker Freestyle (10.2" version)
With Keyrings
- Remove the keyring from one side of the case opening. As these are tight, you may need to use a flat-head screwdriver to separate the sections of the keyring
- Repeat this process on the opposite side of the case
- Move the new handle's D-Ring over the opening on one side of the case
- Insert the screw through the D-Ring and the opening in the case. Please note; this opening is very snug, but you should be able to get the screw through it without any issues.
- Using a Philips-head screwdriver, secure the screw into the D-Ring. Both ends of the screw should be flush with the D-ring when it's installed properly.
With D-Rings (grey version)
- Using a Flat-head screwdriver, remove the D-Ring from one side of the case opening
- Repeat this process on the opposite side of the case
- Move the new handle's D-Ring over the opening on one side of the case
- Insert the screw through the D-Ring and the opening in the case. Please note; this opening is very snug, but you should be able to get the screw through it without any issues.
- Using a Philips-head screwdriver, secure the screw into the D-Ring*. Both ends of the screw should be flush with the D-ring when it's installed properly.
With D-Rings (black version - current option)
- Using a Philips-head screwdriver, remove the D-Ring from one side of the case opening
- Repeat this process on the opposite side of the case
- Move the D-Ring over the opening on one side of the case
- Insert the screw through the D-Ring and the opening in the case. Please note; this opening is very snug, but you should be able to get the screw through it without any issues.
- Using a Philips-head screwdriver, secure the screw into the D-Ring*. Both ends of the screw should be flush with the D-ring when it's installed properly
* Please note: for more permanent hold of the screw to the D-Ring, we recommend adding a small amount of adhesive to the threads of the screw.
